On 1 May 2026, Winyama Contracting Group proudly celebrated three years in business, an important milestone and an opportunity to reflect on just how far we have come.
What started as a spark of an idea has grown into a proudly Aboriginal-owned contracting business delivering services across the Pilbara, supported by an incredible team, strong client relationships and a community that has backed us from the beginning.
Like any business journey, the past three years have brought plenty of highs, challenges and lessons along the way. Each one has helped shape Winyama into the business it is today.
From our earliest projects to securing ongoing works and continuing to expand our capabilities, Winyama’s growth has been built step by step.
Over the past three years, we have grown our team, expanded our equipment and capabilities, formed meaningful industry partnerships and continued to create new opportunities across the region.
While we’re proud of the growth, some of our greatest achievements can’t be measured by the size of a project or the number of machines on site.
They’re found in the relationships we’ve built, the opportunities we’ve been able to create for our people, the community initiatives we’ve supported and the trust our clients continue to place in Winyama.
None of the past three years would have been possible without the people behind Winyama.
To our dedicated team who turn up and put in the work every day, our clients who have trusted us to deliver, our suppliers and industry partners, and the friends, family and wider community who have supported our vision — thank you.
Your encouragement, support and belief in Winyama have played an enormous part in getting us to where we are today.
Three years in, and we feel like we’re only getting started.
Our focus remains on delivering quality outcomes for our clients, creating meaningful opportunities, strengthening our capabilities and continuing to grow Winyama in a way that stays true to the values on which the business was built.
We’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved in our first three years and excited about what the next chapter will bring.
Three years down. Plenty more to come.
